History of the Hawk Group
The Hawk Group commenced operations in the 1960’s. From small beginnings in the local agricultural and plant market the business has developed into one of the largest construction equipment and agricultural equipment hire companies in the UK. The Group turnover for 2007 has reached £50 million.
Recent expansion into the light plant sector means we are now able to offer excavators from 0.75 to 80 tonnes, dumpers from 0.75 to 40 tonne articulated dumptrucks and ride on rollers up to 20 tonne self propelled. Meeting all of our customer’s equipment requirements.
We are also now able to offer high quality used equipment from our own fleet and high specification former military equipment through Hawk Plant Sales.
In 1997 Hawk Developments was established as a building contractor, initially undertaking small building contracts within North Wales, Shropshire and Cheshire. The business has grown substantially and is now involved with a wide range of contracts throughout the North West, including new build, property refurbishment, renovation and barn conversions for both the private and commercial sectors.
Car hire and sales have remained a prominent part of the group through Hawkins Motors, one of the top performing Ford dealers in the UK.
We are also able to provide a full range of safety and training services to the construction industry, which in addition to meeting all of the groups training needs, provides training services to a number of national building contractors and businesses as far a field as Jersey.
Recent additions to the Hawk Group include Hawk Site Facilities Ltd, who offer a range of accommodation solutions to your site requirements, including site offices, drying rooms, canteens, containers and site toilets.
We have also developed a joint venture with Topcon to provide a rental fleet of dozers and excavators fitted with Topcon’s Laser and Global Positioning systems. Enabling projects to be finished faster and far more accurately. Providing huge savings in materials and manpower costs.
